The Directorate of Internal Security and Counterintelligence (DISC) is a directorate of DETR under Directorate Command.

Vetting, internal security, counterintelligence, and the termination of compromised personnel.

DISC investigates the Department. Every clearance in Clearance Classes above Test Subject was issued on a DISC finding, and every clearance can be withdrawn on one.

The DISC patch is recognised throughout the Department and is not regarded by staff as a security marking.
