The Directorate of Research and Development (DRND) is a directorate of DETR under Directorate Command.
Anomaly research and test protocol.
DRND owns the Test Subject programme and the schedule of work performed under it. Personnel at Test Subject grade are assigned by DRND, and the directorate is the only body in the Department whose establishment includes a category of person rather than a category of post.
